Project Coordinator / Senior Architectural Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead simultaneous projects

  • Schedule and organize teams and resources on simultaneous projects

  • Review and assess content and completeness of drawings to meet our quality standards

  • Review and assess project progress against budgets and timelines

  • Lead and participate in the generation of architectural drawing packages and Revit models

  • Develop and manage relationships with clients, consultants, municipalities, and contractors

  • Attend and organize meetings with clients, consultants and contractors

  • Resolve complex design and technical challenges

  • Mentor, coach and develop the team

  • Skills and Attributes

  • A Degree in Architecture / Technology

  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the AIBC

  • Minimum 10+ years’ architectural experience working on large and small projects

  • Proven experience with BCBC and VBBL

  • Comprehensive project design experience from programming through to detailing

  • Experience in multiple building typologies including residential (single and multi), commercial and retail interior projects

  • Experience with multiple construction systems including wood, steel and concrete

  • Municipal and consultant coordination experience

  • Strong understanding of building envelope, construction assemblies, and an ability to prepare associated detailing

  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD

  • An eye for graphics and a desire to create beautiful drawings

  • Self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and continue upgrading technical knowledge

  • Strong leadership ability; enjoys collaborating with others on projects

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills

  • Service and client/customer orientated
